Aviatrix launched Zero Trust for Workloads on November 12, 2025, delivering agentless enforcement across virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, and serverless functions on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The product operates at the network layer of the cloud fabric without requiring application modifications.
Key capabilities include workload-to-workload microsegmentation, workload-to-internet controls, SmartGroups for dynamic traffic isolation by VPC or region, and continuous audit-ready compliance evidence. Aviatrix also released a free Workload Attack Path Assessment diagnostic tool.
CEO Doug Merritt stated the product “operationalizes pervasive zero trust enforcement for the first time,” addressing the lateral movement risk that persists when workloads share implicit trust within cloud network segments. The launch reinforces the industry’s broader push to extend zero trust into the runtime layer of cloud-native environments.
